چکیده
Abstract We discuss quantum mechanical detection models in the weak limit context of conservation laws physical quantities. In particular, we analyze what kind system–detector interaction can preserve global or related symmetry, and how final measurement on detector affects measured observable systems its presumed conservation. It turns out that order noncommuting measurements results differences level third-order correlations functions.

Conservation laws, uncertainty relations, and quantum limits of measurements.
The uncertainty relation between the noise operator and the conserved quantity leads to a bound on the accuracy of general measurements. The bound extends the assertion by Wigner, Araki, and Yanase that conservation laws limit the accuracy of "repeatable," or "nondisturbing," measurements to general measurements, and improves the one previously obtained by Yanase for spin measurements. The boun...
متن کاملQuantum feedback with weak measurements
The problem of feedback control of quantum systems by means of weak measurements is investigated in detail. When weak measurements are made on a set of identical quantum systems, the single-system density matrix can be determined to a high degree of accuracy while affecting each system only slightly. If this information is fed back into the systems by coherent operations, the single-system dens...
متن کاملEntropy Consistent, Tvd Methods with High Accuracy for Conservation Laws
The Godunov method for conservation laws produces numerical solutions that are total-variation diminishing (TVD) and converge to weak solutions which satisfy the entropy condition (Entropy Consistency), but the method is only first order accurate. Many second and higher order accurate Godunov–type methods have been developed by various researchers. Although these high order methods perform very...
متن کاملWeak formulation of boundary conditions for scalar conservation laws: an application to highway traffic modelling
This article proves the existence and uniqueness of a weak solution to a scalar conservation law on a bounded domain. A weak formulation of the boundary conditions is needed for the problem to be well posed. The existence of the solution results from the convergence of the Godunov scheme. This weak formulation is written explicitly in the context of a strictly concave flux function (relevant fo...
متن کاملFirst-kind measurements, non-demolition measurements, and conservation laws
A general discussion is given for first-kind (FK) and quantum non-demolition (QND) measurements. The general conditions for these measurements are derived, including the most general one (called the weak condition), an intermediate one, and the strongest one. The weak condition indicates that we can realize a FK or QND measuring apparatus of wide classes of observables by allowing the apparatus...
